4/28/17 A Romantic Afternoon with President Brown and the Board of Trustees
This year, the Board of Trustees’ April meeting is not in Boston. So, we’re putting on a fun street theatre skit (the fossil fuel industry’s PREMIERE DATING SHOW) to talk about the ties between Board members and fossil fuel companies. Afterwards, we’ll have time to chat, hang out, and eat snacks.
Come support us, ask questions, and learn more about divestment and our campaign! We’ll be at the BU Beach on Friday, April 28th! For more info, visit the Facebook event page!

1/23/17 Campus Climate Walkout and Divestment Forum
On January 23 within 100 hours of inauguration, students are holding nationwide walkouts, rallies, and meetings to show that we resist and reject Trump’s climate denial, and to call on our universities to stand with us by divesting from the fossil fuel industry and reinvesting in solutions to the climate crisis. Join this national day of action!
DivestBU will be taking part, inviting all members of our community to join us in a walkout of our classrooms and work at 1:55 pm to stand against climate change denial and for action from our university on fossil fuel divestment. The walkout will lead to a short rally outside of the George Sherman Union (GSU) at 2 pm and a community divestment forum in the GSU at 2:15 pm. At the forum, we will hold a discussion on how the Trump administration is changing how we address climate change. The conversations will help shape our campaign to demand a re-vote by the Board of Trustees on fossil fuel divestment.
